Title: Internet Art
Author: Rachel Greene

I am interested in art, so I chose this book for my review work. Basically, this book is talking about the art exhibited on the internet, but not only the picture itself. When coming to the computer age, there is a new art form developed by the functions and the frames of the computer interface. Although some art works are just for performance, they still show how they work on the internet. The author used the timeline to explain the internet art history, and the art works in every periods.

At the first time, The screen is very clean and has a big part of blank, and there is often no relationship between the pictures and the texts. When the technique such as music or 3D model was developed, it makes internet art have more diversity. Compare with the classic art, the internet art opens a whole new art type in this world. Until now, there is nothing we cannot do with the internet art.

Besides the internet art, this book covers the use of art in some software and video games. It shows that the computer today is so powerful that we can do almost any kind of graphic. The internet art is one part of the computer art; it is just one platform of the computer art. Thus, the creativity and inspiration could be the important parts of the art. Of course, what is more important is whether we can express the message or not. After all, in the aspect of the usage, art is supposed to support the content.
